God has continued to open a great door of mission opportunities for our church in Salvador, Brazil. Through the invitation of Pastor Lecio Dornas and his church, we are continuing to partner and minister to many more pastors and churches in Salvador.
We have discovered that "going on mission with God" often is a catalyst for a ife changing walk with God. God has provided us with both pastors and laymen since our mission began in 2005. Our ministry opportunities have included:
Pastor Truman leading a two day "Growing Through the Storms of Life" Pastor's Conference for the Association's 300 churches.
Revival Teams, consisting of two or three members, that are assigned to churches during the week. They preach, do group and one on one evagelism and share their testimonies with the members of the assigned church and the surrounding community.
Some of our team members are assigned to the Medical Camp where they assist in what ever way they can as well as evangelize the lost that come to the camp.
We strongly feel that personal evangelism is the key to our mission trip. We expand our borders to not only include the churches we are assigned to, but we also do home visits for members. Often the members will invite their neighbors over while we are there and we have experienced much fruit from this. We also go door-to-door as the Brazilian people are very open to personal evangelism.
